Date:  January 21st 2003

Meeting Started at: 6:05 P.M.

Members Absent: Attendance wasn’t taken, everyone gets a freebie.

Minutes: Passed

President: Contacted our representative at Swank to go over our contract.  Found out the number of movies we ordered conflicted with what we need.  We have to order about 10 more shows.

Vice President: Requirements are going to effect, make sure you can get them all in.

Secretary: Not present

Treasurer: 561 tickets were sold for “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”, that is $ 1,122.00 and about $ 316.00 was made in concessions.

Concessions: Not present

Publicity: No report

Advertising: People have been emailing for information about advertising.

Equipment Supervisor:  The movies here, previewing Wednesday at 8 o’clock.

Web page: Unable to update webpage due to technical difficulties.

Advisor: No report

Old business: Winter Carnival movie questions were brought up.  We should order the movie next week so it’ll be here in time.  There will be a vote next week for which movie we will show.  We should check Tech’s movie channel to make sure the movie we’re playing isn’t showing.  Also, a good idea would be to pick a newer one, for better film quality.

Possible movies for the Thursday of winter carnival

          Pulp Fiction

          The Big Lebowski

          Blazing Saddles

          Bowling for Columbine

          A Clock Work Orange

          Super Troopers

New business: About the screens pieces, avoid cleaning them with solvent, otherwise it might ruin the screen.  There seems to be a problem with the new screen as for the perforations.  It distorts the picture during certain parts of the movie.  Even though the better sound quality makes up for this minor problem, there may be ways we can fix it.  We could possibly hang textured strips of fabric behind it.  Brian will think about it and get back to us on how that could work.

Motion to adjourn, motioned passed.

Meeting Adjourned: 6:20 pm

Dutifully Submitted,

John Jeske
