Minutes:

President: New people stay after the meeting to receive a film board shirt.

Vice President: The board is going around.

Secretary: no report

Treasurer: I will report on ways & means.  We received a $200 check from Res Life for the RA passes.

Equipment Supervisor: Audio System: The audio is up & working but one receiver doesn’t work. The boxes were thrown away. The stores will not take it back.  Warranty? They will take it back with a $46 restocking fee.  Insurance people won’t take it.  Is anyone willing to buy one so we can use their box? It’s $460

Web page: Will update membership list. Encrypt e-mail?

Publicity: no report.

Concessions: no report

Advertising:  no report

Advisors: Display cases look good.

Old Business: LEDs: Meet after this meeting if you would like to discuss LED displays; if not, then next week. Forestry Dept: The forestry department would like to show “Flock of Dodos”, but will be getting the licensing through a different company. They will only rely on us for projecting, and they agreed to the fee.  They are looking at March 7th or another mid-week showing. March 22nd/23rd, 27th/28th? Later in March might be better for us.  They will e-mail us after their committee meeting.

New Business: Movie Time Phone Line: An answering machine that we could record the movie and times might be nice.  Mark talked to Telcom and there is a fee involved; it may be simpler to just buy an answering machine. Motion to purchase a phone/answering machine combo for $100 or less if one can be found passed (23:2). Voting: Motion to vote on 3 criterion movies and 2 swank movies was passed.

Meeting Adjourned: 6:35

Dutifully Submitted,
